4x4 Multi-User MIMO
Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO for short) enables all available spatial streams of the LANCOM LN-1702 to be distributed to several different Wave 2 clients simultaneously instead of operating them one after the other as before. This makes efficient use of the available bandwidth and massively reduces delays in the radio network.
Thanks to beamforming, the LANCOM LN-1702 controls active clients more effectively so as not to interfere with other clients with radio signals as far as possible. In cooperation with MU-MIMO, clients can thus receive spatial streams intended for them with minimal interference, which has a positive effect on the throughput of all clients.
160 MHz channel width
Increasing the channel width from 80 to 160 MHz doubles the performance when driving Wave 2 clients. By making optimum use of the radio spectrum, a client can be supplied with a data rate of up to 1733 Mbps.
