The LANCOM OAP-1700B has a robust IP67 protective housing and is therefore completely dustproof and resistant to water jets. In addition, a temperature range from -33 °C to +70 °C guarantees reliable operation under extreme conditions.
Integrated beaconing technology
The Bluetooth Low Energy radio module integrated in the LANCOM OAP-1700B is the technical basis for modern BLE beaconing-based applications, such as push advertising services on mobile terminals (iBeacon). Future firmware updates will also make it possible to implement additional services such as asset tracking and management via partner solutions.
4x4 Multi-User MIMO
Multi-User Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO for short) enables all available spatial streams of the LANCOM OAP-1700B to be distributed to several Wave 2-capable terminals simultaneously instead of operating them one after the other, as before. This makes efficient use of the available bandwidth and massively reduces delays in the radio network.
160 MHz channel width
Increasing the channel width from 80 to 160 MHz doubles the performance when controlling Wave 2-capable terminals. The optimal use of the radio spectrum achieves data rates of up to 1733 Mbps.
Dynamic radio field optimization thanks to Active Radio Control
The LANCOM OAP-1700B supports the LANCOM Active Radio Control WLAN optimization concept.
